Every Wednesday from 9-11am ET, I offer free visiting hours by email.
During that stretch every week, I’ll be by my inbox and available for whatever you’d like to bring: to be heard, appreciated, or supported in whatever way I can.
Whether you’re a colleague, a client, or someone I don’t yet know, you’re welcome to drop me a note during that time, and I’ll do my best to respond right then. Think of it as me pulling up my listening chair and inviting you in for a little bit of connection.
This is not psychotherapy—it’s a small community offering, a bit of human-to-human kindness and encouragement for the middle of your week.
You might want to share a thought, a feeling, an experience, a question. I can do a brief I Ching reading, or we can simply appreciate the shifting seasons together. If you work with clients/patients, I can offer a brief spot of case consultation. Whatever feels supportive.
If you find yourself on a Wednesday morning looking for some encouragement or just contact with a kind other, please drop me a note. I’ll respond to as many people as I can during those two hours. If I run out of time, I’ll let you know and either carry your email into the following week or find another moment to reply.
To keep this a real-time experience, I ask that emails be sent only during visiting hours.
I know many people are in conversation with large language models like ChatGPT, even for the kinds of connection we’ve traditionally offered one another. This is my small human version of that—a free space for anyone to drop in for a bit of kindness and listening in real time with a real person. Needless to say, my responses will always be all mine, just me.
Anything shared with me will be held in the strictest confidence. At the end of each visiting hours, I’ll delete both incoming and outgoing emails. If I can’t be there on a particular Wednesday, I’ll post a notice in the “posts” section here of my website.
I look forward to visiting with you on any Wednesday morning you’d like to stop by. If you feel uncertain about how to do this the first time, you can always drop me a short email when the time comes, saying “Hi, I’d like to share something, are you there?” and I’ll let you know I’m here.
Please feel free to share this invitation with others. Please note the small disclaimer below.
Warmly warmly,
Florence
